A Cheery + Colorful Wedding Celebration at the San Ysidro Ranch

There is nothing like a  colorful wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch to help get you through your Wednesday! We were beyond thrilled to help the FABULOUS Laura of Cody Floral Design plan her own stunning and intimate wedding celebration. As  a local wedding professional, Laura arranges some of the most glamorous floral arrangements that Santa Barbara offers- but we all get a little tired of the traditional wedding colors of whites and soft pinks. That is exactly why her own wedding featured tons of vibrant blooms and touches of color!

Laura & Michael exchanged vows in front of the insanely romantic Stonehouse Terrace fireplace which was dressed in wild greenery and two abundant displays of her flowers! The backdrop was complete once all of the candles were lit & tiny twinkle lights lit up the fireplace & surrounding trees. Throughout the grounds of San Ysidro Ranch you will find tons of petite vintage benches- which we utilized as the seating for their guests during the ceremony.

At dusk, the guests found their way into the Old Adobe where they each took their seats at this deep blue velvet draped table. Each place setting held a perfect magenta peony which held together a silk napkin. And lets just say that the bride knew what she was doing when she put together these centerpieces!

These abundant arrangements featured a stunning color palette of deep fuchsia peonies, garden roses, cafe au let dahlias & dripping clusters of grapes. The table also featured an impressive display of hurricanes and votives which made the space feel warm & inviting!

Needless to say it was an incredible honor to be included in helping our dear friend Laura plan her special day! She has gone above and beyond to help design all of the flower arrangements for each of my kid’s weddings & it was about time we were able to return the favor! This magical day would not have been possible without the support of the wonderful professional team that came along side Laura & Michael that day:

Romantic Sunstone Wedding in Spring 150 150 La Fete Weddings

Romantic Sunstone Wedding in Spring

With Spring right around the corner, we can’t help but dream about the magical & romantic Sunstone wedding that took place almost  year ago in Santa Ynez. The memorable day began with a full schedule of hair and make up at the Sunstone Villa lead by TEAM. What could possibly be better than to start the day feeling pampered & then each bridesmaid was given a gorgeous blush toned Tory Burch handbag!  The ceremony took place in front of an abundantly decorated arbor dripping in greenery & soft blush toned florals surrounded by 5 crystal chandeliers suspended over the ceremony from the oak trees.

After the emotional vows the guests wandered through the grapevines to arrive in the front courtyard of the Sunstone Villa for cocktails hour. Town & Country provided four custom built cabanas with plush lounge furniture which created a warm & intimate space for the guests to enjoy the delicious passed hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails from Duo Catering. The guests were invited to through  the front door of the Villa to receive their escort card/favors which were miniature glass bottles filled with Sunstone’s signature Olive Oil.

The guests passed through the Sunstone Villa and entered the reception, where soft blue runners ran down the wood pedestal tables which were topped with lush arrangements of lush pastel spring flowers. Each place-setting featured mixed stacks of Casa De Perrin’s signature collection china & cut crystal stemware.  Heidi of Zenadia Designs created custom menus with the guests names calligraphed on the exterior and then folded open to reveal the dinner menu for the evening. Town & Country custom built wood cabanas which were draped in ivory chiffon & then Camille added vines and flowers to look as if they were organically growing on the structures over the dining tables with crystal chandeliers.

Every moment of this romantic sunstone wedding day was filled with love, laughter, toasts, emotion, tons of dancing and spectacular food & wine. This was a wedding that we both walked away feeling so incredibly overjoyed to do be able to do what we love- To plan & create memories that will last a lifetime for our clients & that is what warms our hearts the most.

The Dessert Display of Your Dreams 150 150 La Fete Weddings

The Dessert Display of Your Dreams

With Valentines Day right around the corner, we thought we would share the dessert display of your dreams! And what could possibly be better than a whole room full of fresh flowers, cake and towers of sweets!?!  The inspiration for this dessert house began at the first initial walk through we did with our clients at this stunning estate in Montecito. We fell in love with this glass atrium on the estate that reminded us of a french pastry room & we began dreaming of the fabulous dessert display we could create inside! Then we began brainstorming with  Camellia Floral Design, Vanilla Bake Shop, Images By Lighting & Good Gracious Catering and this fabulous team brought the vision to life!

When the guests first entered the room, they were greeted by the enormous and very intricate cake designed by Vanilla Bake Shop which almost appeared to be floating on top of a sea of fresh flowers! On each side of the cake we placed 8 foot tables covered in lace and topped with a large variety of  mini desserts carefully crafted by Good Gracious Catering.

From pink & white macaron towers, chocolate covered pretzels, miniature fruit pies, heart shaped sugar cookies, and yes… that is a donut wall… This really is the dessert display of your dreams!

Each section of the room was thoughtfully decorated with vibrant & colorful flowers from Camellia Floral Design, including the staircase that led up to the room. Camille decorated the banisters with fresh garlands of flowers and foliage and finished the look with tons of candles to add romance and drama.

Yep, this sweet little girl’s face pretty much sums up how we all felt when we entered the room too!

We would like to send a very special thank you to Allyson Magda Photography for capturing all the details from this beautiful wedding!
