Jenna Reeves + Tim Lopez’s Rehearsal Dinner
When we are working with our clients on the overall design of their weddings, we are often limited to the color schemes and vision of our brides & grooms. So when we were given the opportunity to plan something for our own family wedding- we opted for COLOR! Jenna Reeves + Tim Lopez’s Rehearsal Dinner was held at the space that runs along the side of Duo’s catering kitchen- also known as “The Alley.” They chose Duo Catering to create their fantastic dinner menu and they both fell in love with the idea of a long table running down the alley with nothing but the raw concrete walls as a backdrop! We started our design process after meeting Gretchen of Otis & Pearl– an exquisite vintage tableware rental company- and we knew we needed to use her cut crystal stemware and white & gold collection of mismatched vintage plates! From there, we decided to use deep wedgwood blue linens & napkins from La Tavola, and to top it all off with super bright sunset toned flower arrangements from Louloudi Designs. We were also thrilled that we would be able to use taper candles since that is a luxury we typically do not have in Santa Barbara. We teamed up with Town and Country Rentals to section off The Alley with their Edison Slatted Wood Walls and finished the look with their Edison rusty steel chairs! Our dear friend Melissa Musgrove dedicated her Friday evening to taking these stunning photos of the design for us as well as capturing some really beautiful memories of the emotional toasts and overwhelming joy that filled that space!
The Happy Couple!
Duo’s food was nothing short of amazing (as usual)- Pictured above is their Seared California Halibut, with a summer gazpacho vinaigrette, with fennel seeds & almonds over brown rice & baby spinach.
