Michael and Bradley’s El Encanto Rehearsal Dinner + Gifting Lounge

This week we wanted to highlight the exquisite events that surrounded this wonderful couple’s wedding last year. It all began with an intimate Rehearsal Dinner in the Main Dining Room of the El Encanto, where approximately 50 guests enjoyed a fantastic meal and toasted the happy couple. When we designed this event with Laura of Cody Floral Design, we wanted to punch up the color on the dining tables with deep navy blue and white containers overflowing with bright coral charm peonies. The end result was a beautiful and cheery first impression for the guests arriving in Santa Barbara for a weekend full of wedding celebrations.

After the Rehearsal Dinner the guests walked up to Lily Pond at the El Encanto Resort to join the rest of their guests for a Welcome Party & Gifting Lounge! This is the second time we have helped put together a gifting lounge here in Santa Barbara and both times it has been a huge success. For this event the guests checked in at a table and each guest was able to fill their personalized tote with the items of their choice. We stocked the gifting lounge with local Santa Barbara Popcorn, fresh fruit, Boxed Water, Santa Barbara Pistachios, chips, bottles of red & white wine, adorable fedoras & other sun hats from Karen Kane (Michael’s mothers company) and so much more!

Not only does the Gifting Lounge create an unforgettable first impression for your guests, it takes a lot of pressure off of the couple getting married! Ordering all of the items, unpacking it all, assembling the bags, and then delivering them all to your hotels can be very exhausting and expensive on the days JUST before your wedding. Not to mention you will never know if the guests received them or even enjoyed them! The gifting lounge is an excellent solution to this and creates a fantastic conversation started as your guests mingle at the welcome party!

At the end of the evening, our La Fete staff puts the gift bags into alphabetical order and works alongside the valet to give the guests their bags as they departed the El Encanto. This enables the guests to enjoy the welcome party without lugging a heavy gift bag around!

Sending tons of love to MiBelle Photography for capturing this event so beautifully & to Laura of Cody Floral Design for the fantastic flower arrangements she put together on this special day!

Beachfront Wedding at the DoubleTree Santa Barbara

Kayla and David were married a year ago in Barcelona spain and wanted to plan a fun destination wedding weekend for their close friends and family to attend here in Santa Barbara. We met with this bride only once and planned and designed the entire wedding via email. We loved the way the orange of the ceremony chair pads contrasted with the Pacific Ocean in the background. The bridesmaids bouquets were created from five unique large shells then flowers cascaded from each one. The table tops were designed with abundant orange flowers atop sapphire blue dupioni silk linens. We brought in custom designed menus, table numbers, and escort cards adorned with blue shell detailing. Brian and Brady from BB Photography captured this event perfectly.

Up up and Away at the Montecito Country Club

Regina and Michael are the most beautiful people inside and out! I adored every minute of working with them and loved how creative Regina was. She came to me filled with ideas of jewel tone colors and a hot air balloon theme, and we worked together to create an absolutely stunning wedding reception. She worked very long hours during her engagement but still managed to accomplish many DIY projects! She made hand sewn bags for her candy display, as well as a custom frame display she created to incorporate old family wedding photos! Viewing these pictures makes me smile every time, Regina and Michael are so head over heals in love and it shows. They also had a very goofy side as you can see from their photo booth picture as well as when Michael pulled out his scuba gear to retrieve the garter. Many thanks to Brian and Brady from BB Photography for capturing this event beautifully!
xoxo,
Kaitlin
