When Colette Lopez founded La Fete Weddings, it seemed the natural evolution of the things she truly loved: design, entertaining and love. Years later, her daughter has joined her and their chemistry sings of a match made in heaven. The mother-daughter team laugh together, shop together, work together and seem so closely connected that they finish each other’s sentences- jumping in excitedly when talk turns to design and inspiration. It is, after all, their specialty.

Their blog is to inspire and show you what they have created for their clients, and also what they can do for you. La Fete believes that each wedding should be as unique as the people getting married. They desire to create events that reflect each couples personalities and taste. La Fete has access to some amazing venues available in Southern California. Please check out the location section of the blog… Enjoy!

Gigi has amazing taste…the Loggia Ballroom at the Four Seasons with added fabric draped ceiling, candle walls around the edges and cozy vignettes are sure to wow her guests attending this wedding next month. The white dance floor bordered in black and their names in lights for just the added touch. We cannot wait to see this event come together!

The Grand Del Mar in San Diego

The Grand Del Mar in San Diego 150 150 La Fete Weddings
I had the most incredible time last month at the Grand Del Mar resort in San Diego. I was one of two planners from the Santa Barbara area invited to The Wedding Experience. Forty~five planners attended from Southern California. They really showered us with everything a bride would experience at the venue. The pictures below will show you just a few highlights of my time there. The photos were given to us by the very talented Boyd Harris who captured the experience very well and I wanted to share them with you.
The fashion show was care of M Bride.

One night they had us have a “Top Chef” style Cook Off. Here is my team…while we didn’t win we had fun with the competition.
Brunch terrace ~ chairs by Chameleon Chair Company and linens from Wildflower Linenstwo companies I love working with. Isari Flower Studio did the flowers.

One of the ceremony locations all decorated at night! It was magical….Isari Flower Studio did the florals ~ lighting by PSAV.

The doors entering The Capella, the chapel on the Resort.

The reflection lawn, another location for ceremonies on the property.
Dinner for us in one of the ballrooms, which includes two fireplaces. Florals were absolutely stunning by Kathy Wright and Co.
