Ooh LaLa La Fete bio picture
  • When Colette Lopez founded La Fete Weddings, it seemed the natural evolution of the things she truly loved: design, entertaining and love. Years later, her daughter has joined her and their chemistry sings of a match made in heaven. The mother-daughter team laugh together, shop together, work together and seem so closely connected that they finish each other's sentences- jumping in excitedly when talk turns to design and inspiration. It is, after all, their specialty.

Their blog is to inspire and show you what they have created for their clients, and also what they can do for you. La Fete believes that each wedding should be as unique as the people getting married. They desire to create events that reflect each couples personalities and taste. La Fete has access to some amazing venues available in Southern California. Please check out the location section of the blog... Enjoy!

Blush Wedding at Sunstone Villa

We are thrilled to share this beautiful feature from The Wedding Chicks on our blog today!! For more inspiration and stunning images from Elizabeth Messina, check out the full wedding feature by CLICKING HERE!

Annette and Julian’s beautiful Spring Sunstone Villa wedding full of peonies and a puppy began on a beautiful day in Santa Ynez. Classic and elegant romance is inspired by every element of the day, flawlessly styled by La Fete Weddings. A refreshing color palette of blush and white kept things utterly stunning and easy on the eyes.

They also opted to include their precious puppy and we can’t get over how adorable he is, he even joined in on the father daughter dance! You won’t want to miss a single detail from this wedding, and there’s so much to see in the full gallery, photographed by Elizabeth Messina.

As the bride was finishing her final touches with TEAM Hair & Make Up and the girls finished stepping into their gowns the bride was given her beautiful bouquet. Annette carried a lush hand-tied bouquet comprised of her favorite flower – fresh peony blooms in shades of blush and white. The bouquet was designed in a classic, romantic and elegant style and coordinated perfectly with her Monique Lhuillier gown.

If you can’t get enough of this brides gorgeous gown, we recommend you take a peek at the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2016 Bridal Collection.

The guests were shuttled into the estate and greeted with trays of infused water and trays of champagne, before taking their seats under the large oak trees for the ceremony. A large wooden structure draped in romantic cream chiffon fabric, fresh flowers and olive branches framed Annette and Julian as they exchanged their emotion-filled vows in front of 200 of their closest friends and family members.   The party began at cocktail hour in the front of the Sunstone Villa, where guests gathered to enjoy a few Armenian inspired passed hors d’oeuvres such as crisp shishbarak with yogurt dipping sauce and Mediterranean spiced chicken satay skewers.

Then, the guests were invited through the Villa entryway to the backyard where long and round wooden feasting tables awaited. The tables were draped in ivory embroidered linen runners and topped with luxurious floral arrangements in shades of cream, soft blush pink and wispy vines of clematis, fresh mint and olive foliage.  Annette wanted the evening to be full of candlelight and romance and each table featured clusters of pillar and votive candles adding a soft glow around the garden. As the guests found their seats, Duo served Sunstone’s local wines and passed around cheese and charcuterie platters. Annette and Julian were welcomed into the reception and opened the dance floor with their first dance together, then invited all of their guests to join them for a high-energy dance set!

As the sun began to set and the overhead string lighting began to illuminate the evening,  the guests dined and danced the night away until 10pm. But the evening was far from over!  We invited the guest to re-board the shuttles down to the Sunstone Winery Caves for the After Party where Duo served late night snacks including: flatbread pizzas, sliders, doughnuts, and mini chicken chow mein in tiny take-out boxes. Guests departed saying that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and we can clearly see why!

Sarah + Chase’s Wedding Video

This year, on September 17th, we had the privilege of working with Johnny B. Films for the first time! Johnny is an incredible videographer who is relatively new to the Los Angeles area and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to capture their special day. Not only was Johnny an absolute joy to work with, his calm & friendly presence made working with him a breeze- but he also delivered this highlight video within 3 weeks after the wedding!! We can’t wait to get the photos back from this gorgeous wedding & relive the wonderful memories of Sarah & Chase’s wedding day!

Grey Likes Weddings Feature

What could possibly be better than finding out that Grey Likes Wedding’s is interested in featuring one of your weddings on their beautiful blog?! Let me tell you… We emailed Tierney & Chris to let them know that their wedding had been picked up by Grey Likes, and they were overjoyed to let us know that they had just welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family this past weekend!

Tierney and Chris chose to hold an intimate wedding at the luxurious San Ysidro Ranch– hidden in the hills of Montecito. They invited 30 of their closest friends and family members and treated them to  a candlelit dinner to celebrate their nuptials. Kelly Kaufman created the picture perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony complete with an abundance of fresh white blooms of hydrangeas which popped off of that gorgeous mountain view setting.

As the guests found their seats for dinner the soft twinkle lights started to appear in the trees! This magical evening was filled with fantastic dining, laughter, and tons of love to surround the newlyweds! The tables were topped with crisp white linen & Kelly’s beautiful overflowing arrangements of fresh white and green flowers.

Sending tons of love & a huge congratulations to Tierney & Chris and their growing family, as well as to Grey Likes Weddings for the gorgeous feature on their blog today! We would also like to thank Pat Moyer for capturing all of the beauty from this day, as well as our other professionals who assisted in making this day so memorable: Town & Country Event Rentals, San Ysidro Ranch, Kelly Kaufman, Pretty Please Beauty, La Tavola Linens, Ambient Event Design, and Dwight Kennedy Music!
