Four Seasons Biltmore Wedding in the Loggia Ballroom

Four Seasons Biltmore Wedding in the Loggia Ballroom 150 150 La Fete Weddings

This week we are happy to share an exclusive look back at one of our previous Four Seasons Biltmore Weddings in the Loggia Ballroom! Nothing compares to their stunning oceanfront location, exquisite ballrooms and impecable service. Their wide open Monte Vista Lawn is the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony.

Mindy Rice never fails to create a stunning ceremony design, and her table top flower arrangements were out of this world. This was such a unique color palette for a wedding that looked absolutely remarkable in the Loggia Ballroom.

Ambient Event Design dressed the cieling with a soft and romantic criss-crossing fabric & transformed the space with lighting.

This is one of my all time favorite pictures captured by BB Photography. A huge thank you to them for capturing each beautiful moment of this day.

Stephanie and Andre’s Wedding at the Four Seasons Biltmore

Stephanie and Andre’s Wedding at the Four Seasons Biltmore 150 150 La Fete Weddings

The wedding that was held in honor of Stephanie and Andre was such a wonderfully personal and unique occasion. We started the day with a Hindu ceremony to incorporate Andre’s family traditions, and it was spectacular! Seriously, how amazing does she look in her Sari?! Everyone in Andre’s family played a role in this intimate ceremony whether it was playing an instrument, helping to get the bride ready, or setting up the different ceremony elements under the mandap.

Right after the Hindu ceremony ended, we brought in a full hair and make up team to switch her into her traditional bridal attire. It was so special to see her all dressed up in two completely different ways. Her personality and joy shows so beautifully throughout these photos by BB Photography.

The Bride hand painted a stunning orchid design which was her fathers favorite flower, which we incorporated in all of her invitation suite. Above you will see  the stunning programs that we had waiting for the guests attending the second ceremony. Further down you will see the same orchid design on her menu cards.

Tricia Fountaine designed all of the flower arrangements, and each piece was spectacular and unique. We loved working with her on this event!

The bride wanted a modern and contemporary design for her reception and loved the color red. We introduced the turquoise and she fell in love with color combination. The evening could not have been more breathtaking along the coastline of the Four Seasons Biltmore, such a wonderful location for a wedding and reception.

La Fete’s Annual Christmas Tea 2012

La Fete’s Annual Christmas Tea 2012 150 150 La Fete Weddings

Every year we set aside a day in December to reflect on the year that has past, share our favorite memories, and honor some of our closest friends in the event industry. This is special time for all of us to enjoy each others company around a beautiful table. This Christmas Tea was particularly special because we incorporated a company called The Giving Keys which employs the homeless and they are able to use their money from hand-stamping words onto the keys, to get off the street and finally enjoy a home of their own. When you receive a key you wear the necklace until you find a person that you feel needs the word on your key more than you do, and then you give away your key to them.  A friend of mine (also named Caitlin) started this pay-it-forward concept a few years ago and we LOVED the idea of incorporating the keys into our place cards. Heidi from Zenadia Designs  helped us to design these cards which had each woman’s name and then a short phrase describing why each word represented them. Example: Melissa, we are amazed at your ability to… and the key read “Inspire”. Each woman was incredibly touched, and we all teared up when we shared why we admire each one of those women with their specific word on the keys.

These pictures have been featured today on Pretty My Party! Click Here to see it the full post.

We designed the centerpiece mostly out of all dried materials such as pods, ornaments, cotton balls, and tufts of organza and then we plugged in a few fresh peonies! (Our favorite!) Boy, you should have seen us at Michael’s…We were not messing around! “What about this?!?” and “Oooohh…. We definitely need this!!!” But we plan on re-using all of the dried elements and converting it into a wreath for next Christmas!

We worked with Town and Country Rentals to add the gorgeous chairs which match our living room furniture, the metallic chargers and stunning silverware. We also included the incredible sequin linen and napkins from La Tavola.

Thank you so so much to Melissa Musgrove Photography for showing up early to shoot these gorgeous pictures for us! We are so blessed to have such a talented and dear friend to help us out!

The Pottery Barn Registry

The Pottery Barn Registry 150 150 La Fete Weddings
We always look forward to the time when Pottery Barn brings out all of the new spring decorations. So many gorgeous home accessories that can transform and brighten up your home. So when we were asked to participate in their bridal registry event, we jumped on the opportunity! We chose to design a table top that would work for a wedding, or your own dining table. We had such a great time playing and designing with all of their wares and are pleased to share the finished product with you!

Intimate Wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch

Intimate Wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch 150 150 La Fete Weddings
My son Tim from the Plain White T’s sang his new release “Rhythm of Love” during the recessional.
We surprised the guests by revealing the gender of their baby boy during the cake cutting!
Claire and Marcus came to us with the idea of having an small ceremony, followed by an intimate dinner in the wine cellar of the San Ysidro Ranch. Surrounded by 35 of their closest friends and family members the gorgeous couple read their handwritten vows to each other in front of the stone fireplace adorned with flowers and crystals. Claire fell in love with every elegant detail we brought to the table. Beginning with the custom lace table caps, twinkle lights and chandeliers, lace wrapped hurricanes and votives, and the menus made of dark chocolate. This day was filled with amazing toasts, singing by the fireplace, and tons of celebratory laughter! Thank you to our dear friends at BB Photography for telling the story of this day through your beautiful images!

Here is a sneak peak of the Michelle and Michael’s wedding that took place in the gardens at the historic San Ysidro Ranch. One of the most stunning and romantic places in Santa Barbara!

Classic Elegance at the San Ysidro Ranch~

Classic Elegance at the San Ysidro Ranch~ 150 150 La Fete Weddings
The San Ysidro Ranch is the perfect place to have an intimate wedding in a garden setting.  Each space is filled with lovely trees, flowers and sprawling green lawns.  We so enjoyed helping Caroline and John on this wedding filled with love, family and friends.
Caroline’s dress gave us the inspiration for all the lace details incorporated into this classic elegant affair.  I loved the lace inlay on her train!  The bouquet wrap, pretty little bags for the flower girls, petal cones, boutonnieres all had the lace details, created by Mindy Rice. I loved the lush flower arrangements she designed for the cocktail hour and the the Hydrangea Cottage all accented with the tiny elegant green vines.  The room looked so lovely with the tall candelabras.
For the second time this year we have had the wonderful treat of using Aurora Ensembles for our ceremony musicians.  I have asked them to play their beautiful music while processing either up the aisle or around the guests before the ceremony is to begin.  It is such an awesome moment, and the guests love it.
The whole event is beautifully captured by Stephanie Hogue Photography!

Oceanfront Bliss at the DoubleTree

Oceanfront Bliss at the DoubleTree 150 150 La Fete Weddings
I love it when couples trust us and go with some of the ideas we come up with from the design and colors to the intimate details.  JJ and Joe were so fun to work with~
On this wedding we started with wanting to bring the color of the Pacific Ocean into the plaza at the Fess Parkers Doubletree.  We chose a beautiful teal blue colored linen with two different elegant textures and iridescence. The mocha fabric overhead added the soft romantic feeling and provided some shade for the guests from the Summer sun. After dark the rod iron candle chandeliers were the perfect touch.
JJ and Joe met at a club downtown, and so we decided how fun it would be to put the whole wedding party and their dates/spouses at a bar height table with stools.  The flowers were to be romantic and fluffy with gardenia’s one of JJ’s favorite flowers.  The Church Our Lady of  Mt. Carmel was the perfect setting for their intimate ceremony.
The McCleod tartan is yellow, black with a touch of red~ so with JJ being a school teacher we decided how fun it would be to do escort/favors with the double stick tape, which had exactly their McCleod tartan pattern on it, This design was used on their programs and grooms and groomsmen’s ties and pocket squares.  We also hired a bagpiper to play at the end of the recessional for them.

They danced and had the best night ever on the perfect Summer night in the Plaza in Santa Barbara.

Congratulations JJ and Joe~
