San Ysidro Ranch-Romantic Elegance-

San Ysidro Ranch-Romantic Elegance- 150 150 La Fete Weddings

I met Michelle and her Mother one afternoon last March, and we instantly connected.  They hired me on the spot, and within 5 months we planned this wedding with gorgeous details from start to finish.  What I loved about working with this client is her excitement and trust throughout the process of her planning her big day with us.  Once I saw her gorgeous wedding gown the inspiration began.
We wanted a soft palate that would match the elegance and sophistication of her dress, yet  go with the casual elegance of the San Ysidro Ranch and style of their upper garden. We had 218 guests attend and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.  I think the images which Boyd Harris captured for us will give you and idea of why this bride said “It’s Stunning, it’s more than I ever imagined it’s just like a Fairy Tale”.  The upper garden at the San Ysidro Ranch has gorgeous mountain and  beautiful ocean views which were the perfect back drop for this celebration.

Michelle carried a delicate hankercheif  that was also worn by her as a baby bonnet.  This hanky her mother had saved until her wedding day.  In Memory of  her Grandmother she used her cameo pin.

The programs each opened up to reveal the order of the ceremony and the wedding party and family.  On the back was a velum envelope filled with petals for each guest to toss after the ceremony.

The upper garden at the Ranch~ We embellished the trellis’ with fabric and lighting to add elegance to the garden and to compliment the head table canopy.

The escort/boxes were filled with lavender buds…they smelled wonderful!

I rented a golf cart and driving them to the upper garden was such a highlight of my day.  Michelle and Michael were so excited!

The pastry chef at the San Ysidro Ranch did such an amazing job decorating the cake to match the monique linens.  Congratulations’ Michelle and Michael!  xoxo

Rainy Day Romance

Rainy Day Romance 150 150 La Fete Weddings

When you hire La Fete as your Wedding Planner, we can guarantee a stress-free and relaxing day for everyone involved… but unfortunately we can not control the weather. A few days prior to this event we made the call to put up the tent in Vanessa’s parents backyard, and we are so thankful we did! Although the last minute changes like these can be a burden on the budget, it always pays to have your guests stay dry and to maintain the dream of getting married in your parents backyard!
Congratulations to Vanessa and Ryan, your wedding was absolutely stunning!

Santa Barbara Beach Chic

As a wedding planner, these are the kinds of clients that we live for. Carolyn and Dan were a dream to work with and their pictures say it all! They were the most adorable couple and they had SO MUCH FUN on their wedding day! Carolyn wanted her wedding day to reflect the beach feel of Santa Barbara but not to have a cheesy stereotypical “beachy flare” She chose a fabulous oceanfront location of the Four Seasons Santa Barbara, and allowed me to take control of the decor! I worked alongside with Camilla Svensson Burns who provided the fabulous floral arrangements to achieve this light and airy look in the La Pacifica Ballroom. BB Photography always does an amazing job capturing our clients and their joy really shows throughout all of his images.

West Coast Music packed the dance floor all night- and when the father of the bride couldn’t find space to dance there, he made his own dance floor between the tables!!

Melinda and John’s Wedding

Melinda and John’s Wedding 150 150 La Fete Weddings

We were blessed with the most gorgeous day in Santa Barbara this past weekend to celebrate Melinda and John’s Wedding at the Four Seasons Biltmore. Jerry from SR Hogue did a fabulous job with the decor on this event. The classic neutral’s and ivory’s went beautifully in the La Pacifica Ballroom, which can be a tough room to work with. In order to add variety to the ballroom, we suggest using round and square tables, along with tall and short floral arrangements. This adds depth to the room, and also makes each table feel special in its own way. Once the ballroom was completely set, I got a chance to show the Bride the ballroom that she had been planning and dreaming of for months. She was completely taken back and told me “It was like a dream!!” The reception went flawlessly and I couldn’t have been happier with the end result.  The bride and groom danced all night and even went into overtime with their fabulous band from West Coast Music– Now that is the sign of a great party!!

Junebug Weddings- Features our wedding for Shira and Adam 150 150 La Fete Weddings

We are so excited to have this beautiful wedding featured on Junebug Weddings. We did this wedding last May at a private estate in Hope Ranch. This estate is now an exclusive site to La Fete If you are interested please email us.

Here is what the parents of the bride sent to us after the wedding:

“Our daughter and son-in-law were living on the opposite coast, and yet Colette was able to include them in as much of the planning as they desired. She calmly, professionally and comfortingly handled every minute detail of our daughter’s wedding weekend. There wasn’t a question we asked that she could not answer on the spot or after doing research. It still astounds us at how flawlessly wonderful everything turned out.
For us, equally important, it was the first time we had every been able to totally relax and truly enjoy an event we hosted at our own home!
We cannot thank you enough, Colette and Kaitlin, for a very special family memory. “
