Elegant Wedding at Crossroads Estate in Los Olivos, California

Elegant Wedding at Crossroads Estate in Los Olivos, California 150 150 La Fete Weddings

Alyson & Matt chose to hold their elegant wedding at Crossroads Estate in Los Olivos. This venue is the perfect location for celebrating your wedding all weekend long. They checked into the house along with a few family members and close friends and enjoyed a full weekend of wine tastings, intimate family dinners, their wedding day & then visited nearby restaurant for Sunday Brunch.

The decorated vintage bicycle was an important detail for the two of them as it tied into their engagement story. One of Alyson & Matt’s favorite things to do in Los Angeles is take long bike rides along the beach. One day after returning from a long trip, Matt suggested they take a nice long ride- despite it being cold & cloudy. After a 12 mile ride down to Manhattan Beach where they stopped for lunch & on the way back Matt suggested they pull over to take a picture and have a little break on a bench. He pulled out his phone and begin playing a slide show that he had put together to one of their favorite songs, with all of the photos of the two of them & the adventures they had been on since they started dating. That is when he got down on one knee & pulled out a ring box from his backpack and asked Alyson to marry him! Right after that, the sun came out and they captured some gorgeous photos taken by at total stranger on the bike path.

Alyson & Matt wanted each and every one of their guests to feel like they were a special part of their wedding ceremony. In order to do this, we displayed a sweet vintage cart filled with white roses & each guest was asked to take a rose and place it at the altar to fill in the circle around the two of them. This was a reminder to Alyson & Matt that they are surrounded by the love & friendship of everyone celebrating them on their special day! We made sure that the circle of roses was “almost” entirely closed and then in the middle of the ceremony the parents of the Bride & Groom were asked to come forward with their roses & close in the circle. It was a beautiful moment & a detail we would love to repeat at future weddings!

Alyson absolutely loves succulents and was excited to incorporate them into every area of her wedding day. We were inspired by the gorgeous variety of colors succulents can range in- from soft silvery greens to faded lavenders and even deep rich purples! She also wanted to add elements that would dress up the Pole Barn, which is where we added in the fabric draping & additional lighting & eucalyptus dressed chandeliers. While also keeping some rustic elements such as the raw vineyard dining tables, wine barrels and vintage wine goblets- keeping everything in theme with the fact that we were on a working vineyard.

LOVE NOTE FROM OUR CLIENTS:

It was truly the most spectacular day of our entire lives, and it’s true what they say, it was over way too quickly!  We enjoyed every minute, and the best part was that our guests had an incredible time as well!  The word ‘epic’ has been used on multiple occasions to describe the day 🙂

We could not be more pleased with how everything turned out, and it was obvious that no detail was left untouched.  Everything looked more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.  I was so excited to get Grace’s preview photos, because if felt like the day went by so quickly, I wanted to be able to see everything again through the photos.

We are so lucky to have these amazing memories of our perfect wedding day, and it would not have been possible without you both.

Thank you again!

Alyson & Matt

Soft Pastel Wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch

Soft Pastel Wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch 150 150 La Fete Weddings

We could not imagine a more beautiful color palette for a summertime wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch. Super soft shades of blue, pink, lavender, green and ivory absolutely shine at this lush garden venue.

Jessie & Juan celebrated their wedding day amongst 50 of their closest friends & family members. The couple exchanged their vows in the ceremony garden and then dined alfresco on the Hydrangea Patio and danced the night away to their favorite songs.

Each place-setting was carefully curated with layers of mixed white china from Pretty Vintage Rentals and topped with a menu that had each guests name written at the top with soft blue calligraphy. CocoRose Florals finished the look by tying delicate stems of lavender & sweet peas to each of the fresh white napkins with a raw silk ribbon.

This spectacular wedding was held on a warm day in October, and as the sun began to set the San Ysidro Ranch warmed up the guests with bowls of their signature Tortilla Soup. The candlelit dinner continued, followed by an organic baby greens salad & then the choice of Filet of Beef or Pan Roasted King Salmon. Toasts were shared throughout the evening as guests celebrated the newlyweds under the twinkle lights and stars.

One of our favorite moments of the evening is when Jessie surprised her parents by playing their wedding song right after the cake cutting. Her parents were so touched and as the two of them danced together, reminiscing about their own wedding day! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room & each guest could truly feel the love shared within this family.

Weddings like these don’t just magically happen! We could not do our job without the help of an incredible team of professionals. Here is the list of vendors who made this dreamy wedding day come to life:

Sweet Words from Style Me Pretty: “When my husband and I renew our vows one day, we’ll be calling La Fete Weddings, because this right here is all my wedding dreams come to life. I honestly thought I was looking at a dreamy, Italian destination wedding the first time I scrolled through the beautiful gallery of images by Brumley and Wells and was completely blown away when I realized this gorgeous event took place much closer to home – Sunstone Vineyards and Winery in California! This European-esque celebration came together through the work of some of the industry’s finest vendors – Archive RentalsTEAM Hair and Makeup, and Ambient Event Design just to name a few – and is one of those weddings you won’t be able to stop thinking about for days.”

From Style Me Pretty: “Charmed with old world elegance, masterfully considered design, and the classic romance of stone, hand-hewn beams from Queen Elizabeth’s rose garden, and brooding tones of natural light pouring in to every room, Sunstone Winery provides the perfect setting for a timeless wedding. Brett and Sarah’s day was no exception. The ceremony took place under the live oak, surrounded by the property’s vineyard, and followed by the reception in the back grounds of the estate.”

Article on Style Me Pretty:

From the Photographer… Nicole & Walker’s chic LA Destination Wedding was full of Southern Romance in the heart of Beverly Hills. The Bride, originally from LA along with the Groom, from Charleston, South Carolina, wanted an LA wedding on a warm balmy day, with family and friends from both the East and West coast in attendance to witness their beautiful day at a Private Venue. The breath taking Ceremony was nestled in between aged Pine trees with an alter created to embrace the nature it was surrounded by, including beautiful mahogany pews for guests to enjoy the intimate vow exchange. Plants were lined against pews to further embrace the natural ambience and it created the most stunning outdoor aesthetic, truly magical to capture. Once the Ceremony concluded, guests were shuttled back to the large wrap around Veranda as dusk fell and the soft glow of lights began to shimmer in the fading light. Cocktails clinked, and appetizers were passed as soft jazz hummed in the background setting the tone for the reception that followed just down the path, under a clear tent with rustic wood tables, hemstitch runners, low centerpiece arrangements and illuminated twinkle lights, all waiting for Guests to enjoy and dine. The palette was very beach inspired, incorporating light gray blue, ivory, neutrals with greenery and pops of peach. After dining, dancing & merriment, guests lined the courtyard and sent off the Newlyweds to the Vintage car awaiting them, with a grand Sparkler exit and a Champagne toast.

La Fete Weddings featured in California Wedding Day Magazine

La Fete Weddings featured in California Wedding Day Magazine La Fete Weddings

Here at La Fete Weddings we are beyond thrilled to share that one of our weddings is featured in newest issue of California Wedding Day Magazine and it is officially on stands now! Make sure to pick up a copy for tons of gorgeous wedding inspiration.

We wanted to share a few of Alyson Magda’s beautiful images from the wedding feature:

Camellia Floral Design used deep shades of pinks, red, and magenta flowers to beautifully compliment the vintage pews that we placed in front of fountain for their ceremony/champagne blessing. The Bride & Groom recited their vows in this gorgeous terraced garden, and as soon as they had sealed the deal with a kiss, the fountain began to bubble as the guests raised their glasses to toast the newlyweds!

The floating style reception was held in a stunning clear tent with a variety of seating areas throughout the space. Including a mixture of lounge vignettes, dining tables, and indoor wood cabanas draped in flowers and romantic fabric. Various linens in shades of champagne, blush, and deep velvet merlot enhanced the floral centerpieces.

Staying true to their vision of a floating style reception, the couple opted for a sampling of food stations, including the “Cabo Hurricane” and “Football Game Day” among others, named for happenings on their path to the altar.

Inside a stunning glass atrium on the property we featured a dessert lovers dream. A dramatic seven tiered cake trimmed with gold embellishments sat atop a colorful bed of flowers, accompanied by cookies, tarts, macarons, and a custom doughnut wall!

A Cheery + Colorful Wedding Celebration at the San Ysidro Ranch

A Cheery + Colorful Wedding Celebration at the San Ysidro Ranch 150 150 La Fete Weddings

There is nothing like a  colorful wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch to help get you through your Wednesday! We were beyond thrilled to help the FABULOUS Laura of Cody Floral Design plan her own stunning and intimate wedding celebration. As  a local wedding professional, Laura arranges some of the most glamorous floral arrangements that Santa Barbara offers- but we all get a little tired of the traditional wedding colors of whites and soft pinks. That is exactly why her own wedding featured tons of vibrant blooms and touches of color!

Laura & Michael exchanged vows in front of the insanely romantic Stonehouse Terrace fireplace which was dressed in wild greenery and two abundant displays of her flowers! The backdrop was complete once all of the candles were lit & tiny twinkle lights lit up the fireplace & surrounding trees. Throughout the grounds of San Ysidro Ranch you will find tons of petite vintage benches- which we utilized as the seating for their guests during the ceremony.

At dusk, the guests found their way into the Old Adobe where they each took their seats at this deep blue velvet draped table. Each place setting held a perfect magenta peony which held together a silk napkin. And lets just say that the bride knew what she was doing when she put together these centerpieces!

These abundant arrangements featured a stunning color palette of deep fuchsia peonies, garden roses, cafe au let dahlias & dripping clusters of grapes. The table also featured an impressive display of hurricanes and votives which made the space feel warm & inviting!

Needless to say it was an incredible honor to be included in helping our dear friend Laura plan her special day! She has gone above and beyond to help design all of the flower arrangements for each of my kid’s weddings & it was about time we were able to return the favor! This magical day would not have been possible without the support of the wonderful professional team that came along side Laura & Michael that day:

Lavender Wedding at Crossroads

Lavender Wedding at Crossroads 150 150 La Fete Weddings

Lauren and Kasey attended a wedding that we had designed for their good friends Missy & Josh (view their wedding here!) and once we got to know them, we knew they were going to be a lot of fun to work with! With spring in the air and fresh wildflowers all around us- we are looking back at this beautiful lavender wedding at Crossroads estate.

Lauren chose a stunning lace embellished gown with a striking low cut back and carried a fresh loose bouquet of garden roses, wispy greenery, and accents of lavender. Her bridesmaids donned long flowing lavender chiffon dresses and carried smaller versions of the brides bouquet!

When designing the ceremony space for their wedding, we did not want to take attention away from the enormous oak tree that stands tall in the background. Laura of Cody Floral Design brought in eight large ferns which we used to line down the aisle, then mixed in some of our large vintage lanterns to add height & variety. Later, we repurposed the ferns & lanterns along the band’s stage to soften the space!

Inside the barn at Crossroads we brought in a combination of round and long dining tables; some with exposed wood which were more Edison Style. Then we introduced a gorgeous embellished white linen overlay which we used for the cake & head table. Each of the wood tables featured lush arrangements of garden roses, ranunculus, dahlias, and wild greenery which spilled out of the arrangements and over the table’s edges.

We layered stacks of ornate white china at each place setting & finished the look with lovely cut crystal glassware from Town & Country!  We hope you enjoyed this post about Lauren & Kasey’s lavender wedding at Crossroads. We are excited to be working at Crossroads again this September and bringing even more beauty into that space!

Romantic Sunstone Wedding in Spring

Romantic Sunstone Wedding in Spring 150 150 La Fete Weddings

With Spring right around the corner, we can’t help but dream about the magical & romantic Sunstone wedding that took place almost  year ago in Santa Ynez. The memorable day began with a full schedule of hair and make up at the Sunstone Villa lead by TEAM. What could possibly be better than to start the day feeling pampered & then each bridesmaid was given a gorgeous blush toned Tory Burch handbag!  The ceremony took place in front of an abundantly decorated arbor dripping in greenery & soft blush toned florals surrounded by 5 crystal chandeliers suspended over the ceremony from the oak trees.

After the emotional vows the guests wandered through the grapevines to arrive in the front courtyard of the Sunstone Villa for cocktails hour. Town & Country provided four custom built cabanas with plush lounge furniture which created a warm & intimate space for the guests to enjoy the delicious passed hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails from Duo Catering. The guests were invited to through  the front door of the Villa to receive their escort card/favors which were miniature glass bottles filled with Sunstone’s signature Olive Oil.

The guests passed through the Sunstone Villa and entered the reception, where soft blue runners ran down the wood pedestal tables which were topped with lush arrangements of lush pastel spring flowers. Each place-setting featured mixed stacks of Casa De Perrin’s signature collection china & cut crystal stemware.  Heidi of Zenadia Designs created custom menus with the guests names calligraphed on the exterior and then folded open to reveal the dinner menu for the evening. Town & Country custom built wood cabanas which were draped in ivory chiffon & then Camille added vines and flowers to look as if they were organically growing on the structures over the dining tables with crystal chandeliers.

Every moment of this romantic sunstone wedding day was filled with love, laughter, toasts, emotion, tons of dancing and spectacular food & wine. This was a wedding that we both walked away feeling so incredibly overjoyed to do be able to do what we love- To plan & create memories that will last a lifetime for our clients & that is what warms our hearts the most.

The Dessert Display of Your Dreams

The Dessert Display of Your Dreams 150 150 La Fete Weddings

With Valentines Day right around the corner, we thought we would share the dessert display of your dreams! And what could possibly be better than a whole room full of fresh flowers, cake and towers of sweets!?!  The inspiration for this dessert house began at the first initial walk through we did with our clients at this stunning estate in Montecito. We fell in love with this glass atrium on the estate that reminded us of a french pastry room & we began dreaming of the fabulous dessert display we could create inside! Then we began brainstorming with  Camellia Floral Design, Vanilla Bake Shop, Images By Lighting & Good Gracious Catering and this fabulous team brought the vision to life!

When the guests first entered the room, they were greeted by the enormous and very intricate cake designed by Vanilla Bake Shop which almost appeared to be floating on top of a sea of fresh flowers! On each side of the cake we placed 8 foot tables covered in lace and topped with a large variety of  mini desserts carefully crafted by Good Gracious Catering.

From pink & white macaron towers, chocolate covered pretzels, miniature fruit pies, heart shaped sugar cookies, and yes… that is a donut wall… This really is the dessert display of your dreams!

Each section of the room was thoughtfully decorated with vibrant & colorful flowers from Camellia Floral Design, including the staircase that led up to the room. Camille decorated the banisters with fresh garlands of flowers and foliage and finished the look with tons of candles to add romance and drama.

Yep, this sweet little girl’s face pretty much sums up how we all felt when we entered the room too!

We would like to send a very special thank you to Allyson Magda Photography for capturing all the details from this beautiful wedding!
