Intimate Blush Pink Wedding at San Ysidro Ranch

Intimate Blush Pink Wedding at San Ysidro Ranch 150 150 La Fete Weddings

There is something so wonderful & charming about being able to host a romantic wedding for 13 of your family members, and that is exactly what Amy & Rick wanted for their intimate blush pink wedding at San Ysidro Ranch. We left no detail unfinished for this event and it all shows so beautifully through Michelle Beller’s Photography. We are thrilled to share that this wedding was recently posted on Style Me Pretty– To view their full gallery of images CLICK HERE!

From the Bride… “We envisioned our wedding to be modern, traditional and elegant. We chose the San Ysidro Ranch for it’s storied history, privacy, romantic, intimate and scenic location. Because only our immediate families were in attendance, we opted for a formal and elegant affair serenaded by an acoustic duo under the stars. We enjoyed a caviar and champagne cocktail hour, followed by a fine wine pairing and a five course dinner with accompaniment of amuse bouche and an intermezzo.”collage40009300104002460025400247003120023900313collage500225collage6005070047600460

It was truly an affair to remember from the exchanging of our vows on the lower lawn, to the decadent sit-down dinner, chandeliers hanging from the branches above us creating a whimsical setting. The enchanting glow of the candles, lavish table settings, aromatic fragrance from the lush floral arraignments complimenting the aroma of the fine cuisine.”

“Laughter coupled with the cheers and speeches and background music creating a magical evening to remember. We are exceedingly happy and pleased that our dreams were executed so flawlessly.”

As a coordinator- so much thought, time and energy is put into planning & designing our weddings and the day itself goes by so quickly. We turn all of our hope & trust over to the photographers & videographers on the day of & pray that they capture the magic that transpires… and then, we wait. We wait for the day that the photographers sends us the photos and spend half a day sorting through our favorites. We also wait for the day when the videographer sends us their final edit of the wedding film and we smile & laugh as we re-live the happiest day of our clients lives. Well this wedding film was no exception & Artisan Productions NEVER disappoints!

Annette and Julian’s beautiful Spring Sunstone Villa wedding full of peonies and a puppy began on a beautiful day in Santa Ynez. Classic and elegant romance is inspired by every element of the day, flawlessly styled by La Fete Weddings. A refreshing color palette of blush and white kept things utterly stunning and easy on the eyes.

They also opted to include their precious puppy and we can’t get over how adorable he is, he even joined in on the father daughter dance! You won’t want to miss a single detail from this wedding, and there’s so much to see in the full gallery, photographed by Elizabeth Messina.

As the bride was finishing her final touches with TEAM Hair & Make Up and the girls finished stepping into their gowns the bride was given her beautiful bouquet. Annette carried a lush hand-tied bouquet comprised of her favorite flower – fresh peony blooms in shades of blush and white. The bouquet was designed in a classic, romantic and elegant style and coordinated perfectly with her Monique Lhuillier gown.

If you can’t get enough of this brides gorgeous gown, we recommend you take a peek at the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2016 Bridal Collection.

The guests were shuttled into the estate and greeted with trays of infused water and trays of champagne, before taking their seats under the large oak trees for the ceremony. A large wooden structure draped in romantic cream chiffon fabric, fresh flowers and olive branches framed Annette and Julian as they exchanged their emotion-filled vows in front of 200 of their closest friends and family members.   The party began at cocktail hour in the front of the Sunstone Villa, where guests gathered to enjoy a few Armenian inspired passed hors d’oeuvres such as crisp shishbarak with yogurt dipping sauce and Mediterranean spiced chicken satay skewers.

Then, the guests were invited through the Villa entryway to the backyard where long and round wooden feasting tables awaited. The tables were draped in ivory embroidered linen runners and topped with luxurious floral arrangements in shades of cream, soft blush pink and wispy vines of clematis, fresh mint and olive foliage.  Annette wanted the evening to be full of candlelight and romance and each table featured clusters of pillar and votive candles adding a soft glow around the garden. As the guests found their seats, Duo served Sunstone’s local wines and passed around cheese and charcuterie platters. Annette and Julian were welcomed into the reception and opened the dance floor with their first dance together, then invited all of their guests to join them for a high-energy dance set!

As the sun began to set and the overhead string lighting began to illuminate the evening,  the guests dined and danced the night away until 10pm. But the evening was far from over!  We invited the guest to re-board the shuttles down to the Sunstone Winery Caves for the After Party where Duo served late night snacks including: flatbread pizzas, sliders, doughnuts, and mini chicken chow mein in tiny take-out boxes. Guests departed saying that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and we can clearly see why!

Tim Lopez and Jenna Reeves Wedding on July 4th!

Tim Lopez and Jenna Reeves Wedding on July 4th! 150 150 La Fete Weddings

We are over-the-moon excited to finally share some of the gorgeous photos that we just got back from JKoe Photography of Tim Lopez and Jenna Reeves Wedding! As many of you know Tim Lopez is Colette’s son and Kaitlin’s brother so this was a very special time for our family and we were honored to help plan and design their special day.

The Plain White T’s Tim Lopez tied the knot with his fiancé Jenna Reeves in front of  an intimate gathering of family and friends at the Historical Museum in Santa Barbara on July 4th, 2015. The pair met on NBC’s reality dating show Ready For Love, where Tim knew Jenna was “the one” from the very beginning! Planning their wedding began with only one trip to Santa Barbara to tour the venue and pick out the specialty rentals from Town and Country Event Rentals. The rest of the planning was done with visuals, diagrams and phone calls with Colette & Kaitlin of La Fete Weddings!

1 Getting ReadyDSC_3120e1 Getting ReadyDSC_9002ccollag25 Bridal PartyDSC_4951collage3

Tim shared in an interview with People Magazine that “Jenna was no bridezilla while planning the wedding, and that extended to her dress selection. “I actually got my dress at Lunss,” she says. “I looked at a few boutique shops and found nothing that felt right. When I tried this one on, I had that moment where I looked in the mirror and saw a bride. The dress was relatively inexpensive as far as wedding dresses go but I wasn’t concerned with brand names, I just wanted to feel comfortable and beautiful when walking down the aisle toward him.” Tim also mentioned “Jenna and I didn’t want to abandon who we are when it came to the style and attire for our wedding — hence I wasn’t going to be caught dead in a tuxedo!”

2 Bride & GroomDSC_2740c5 Bridal PartyDSC_38806 ReceptionDSC_20173 CeremonyDSC_20263 CeremonyDSC_93363 CeremonyDSC_2244

The ceremony was designed to fit the old Spanish style of the Historical Museum which already has a little bit of a Texas flair. We decorated the aisle with a combination of large blue agave plants & oversized rustic star lanterns. Then the existing arbor was embellished with a natural linen fabric and then adorned with fresh green garlands and white flowers by Cody Floral Designs– The look was simple and made an absolutely stunning backdrop for the two of the them!

The couple decided to keep their special day low-key by bringing a little bit of Austin, Texas home to our native Santa Barbara. We brought in the Rasta Taco Cart along with Georgia’s Smokehouse (a local food truck)  to add a “hipster element” to the “Tex meets West” theme. The evening consisted of a free-floating party with lounge vignettes, dining tables, and who could forget- an enormous teepee. Guests were invited into the space and able to eat when they felt hungry, visit the bar when they were thirsty, and dance to the fantastic music of Stew in the Crew when they wanted. This created a relaxed atmosphere that didn’t feel to “structured or scheduled.” The overall design wasn’t all about the flowers but more about the overall feeling that Tim & Jenna wanted to create within the courtyard at the Historical Museum.

6 ReceptionDSC_56816 ReceptionDSC_5937

The lounge vignettes and tables were adorned with garlands of greenery and a more “hand-picked” organic looking flowers were placed on the tables with a touch of blue thisle- which Jenna loved!

2 Bride & GroomDSC_85316 ReceptionDSC_9709Collage16 ReceptionDSC_47442 Bride & GroomDSC_8384

The only elements that incorporated the Fourth of July were the large rustic star lanterns that lined both sides of the aisle and a large vintage American flag that Tim brought from their home in Texas which was used in some of their wedding portraits! The little flower girl, Keilani also carried around a small American flag that day for her photos but during the ceremony she dropped petals out of a small flower basket!

As the newlyweds entered the courtyard they were announced as “Mr. & Mrs. Tim and Jenna Lopez” and they worked their way to the center of the dance floor to share their first dance together to “Baby I’m Yours” by The Arctic Monkeys.

6 ReceptionDSC_94946 ReceptionDSC_98836 ReceptionDSC_99256 ReceptionDSC_99056 ReceptionDSC_9573 (1)6 ReceptionDSC_9898cC

We surprised Jenna by having our dear friend Calligraphy Katrina decorate the top of the cake table by re-creating the wedding invitations that Jenna had designed herself. The table turned out so gorgeous and really carried the theme throughout the event! As you can see, Jenna was thrilled and the cake from Christine Dahl tasted just as amazing as it looked!

When we were headed over to watch Tim & Jenna cut the cake when we were all happily surprised that we could see the fireworks from the wedding venue!! Jason from Jkoe Photography captured some of the most gorgeous images of the two of them with the fireworks going off in the distance!

We are so grateful to our incredible team of professionals who helped make Tim Lopez and Jenna Reeves wedding so spectacular. Celebrating with these two was a major highlight of our wedding season this summer and we were truly blown away by the help and generosity of the following people:

Jenna Reeves + Tim Lopez’s Rehearsal Dinner

Jenna Reeves + Tim Lopez’s Rehearsal Dinner 150 150 La Fete Weddings

When we are working with our clients on the overall design of their weddings, we are often limited to the color schemes and vision of our brides & grooms.  So when we were given the opportunity to plan something for our own family wedding- we opted for COLOR! Jenna Reeves + Tim Lopez’s Rehearsal Dinner was held at the space that runs along the side of Duo’s catering kitchen- also known as “The Alley.” They chose Duo Catering to create their fantastic dinner menu and they both fell in love with the idea of a long table running down the alley with nothing but the raw concrete walls as a backdrop! We started our design process after meeting Gretchen of Otis & Pearl– an exquisite vintage tableware rental company- and we knew we needed to use her cut crystal stemware and white & gold collection of mismatched vintage plates! From there, we decided to use deep wedgwood blue linens & napkins from La Tavola, and to top it all off with super bright sunset toned flower arrangements from Louloudi Designs. We were also thrilled that we would be able to use taper candles since that is a luxury we typically do not have in Santa Barbara. We teamed up with Town and Country Rentals to section off The Alley with their Edison Slatted Wood Walls and finished the look with their Edison rusty steel chairs! Our dear friend Melissa Musgrove dedicated her Friday evening to taking these stunning photos of the design for us as well as capturing some really beautiful memories of the emotional toasts and overwhelming joy that filled that space!

After completing their first day of orientation at USC a large group of classmates decided to go out to happy hour and this is when Brian had the pleasure of sitting across from Courtney. The two quickly became good friends, and after a year of Brian trying to win Courtney over, the perfect opportunity fell into his lap! Their group of friends had all planned to go to a John Butler Trio concert, although someone had mistakenly purchased two tickets to the wrong night. As fate would have it, both Courtney & Brian ended up sacrificing their tickets for the other friends to go to the concert. That led to their pseudo first date and then two days later their official first date- and the rest is history!

When we began planning the wedding with Courtney & her mother we started by searching for wedding venues. They knew we had found the right place when we walked onto the grounds of the spectacular Villa Sevillano. With magnificently manicured grounds and formal terraced gardens, this impressive 6-bedroom Italian Villa was the perfect place to transform into their dream wedding.

The wedding ceremony was held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church in the heart of Montecito at 2:00 in the afternoon. After the full Catholic mass the guests arrived at the Villa for an intentionally “long-cocktail-hour!” We created a plush environment around the pool with charcoal grey lounge furniture groupings, tall communal dining tables & multiple bars and food stations! Good Gracious! catered a “Meat Lovers” station for the groom and a “New Orleans” food station for the bride- complete with frozen hurricanes and gumbo!  Guests mingled and enjoyed the music of the New Orleans style Dixie band.

We designed a tailored fabric draped tent with ivory petal covered panels in the center of the ceiling. We filled in the tent withRevelry Event Designer’s stunning mirror & chandelier glass top tables, which were accented with their linen upholstered chairs.Eddie Zaratsian added a decadent mix of all white modern flowers in mirrored vessels along with a selection of rosebud-embellished votive candles.

The Band from West Coast Music blew the guests away with their incredible talents and at the end of the night we surprised the guests by passing out LED sunglasses, necklaces, bracelets & other fun props to keep their party on the dance floor all night long!

Rustic Barn Rehearsal Dinner

Rustic Barn Rehearsal Dinner 150 150 La Fete Weddings

When we began planning the wedding for our clients Alex and Alyssa, we started by touring their property and listening to their vision. Then we ventured down into the barn… It was truly love at first site, and we knew we needed to throw Alex and Alyssa a rustic barn themed rehearsal dinner. Some spaces just speak to you, and this was one of them. Complete with 3 giant wrought iron chandeliers running down the center of the barn and stunning corrals & fixtures- we were dying to dress this place up! We introduced the clients to these darling distressed farm tables at Town & Country then chose a fun “bandana” patterned table runner from La Tavola. And to top it all off- Mindy Rice added so much cheer to the tables with her eclectic mix of sunflowers & rusty lanterns.

Each place setting was finished with a mini cowbell tied around the napkin (which the guests could ring throughout the evening) and these fabulous copper handled flatware from Town & Country Event Rentals!

This rustic barn rehearsal dinner was filled with toasts, laughter & tears and once the party had ended we shuttled these lucky guests down to The Wine Cask for a delightful welcome party with the rest of the invited wedding guests! A special thank your to our incredible team who made this night possible: Duo Catering, Images by Lighting, Town & Country Event Rentals, Mindy Rice, La Tavola Fine Linens, and photos by the talented Yvette Roman Photography.
