We were thrilled when Michael Segal Photography sent us a little teaser of the photos from our wedding that we planned and designed in Rancho Mirage last weekend! Here are some of our favorites, and if these are just the small sampling… we cannot wait to see the rest of images he captured!!

I mean first of all… This dress, these stairs, that lighting!!! This photo literally took our breath away when we first saw it!

Just absolutely stunning.

This Rancho Mirage Wedding took place at the Soloman Estate which is an absolutely breathtaking property! We could not have created such and incredible wedding without the help from our wonderful professional team! Sending a HUGE thank you out to:

5 Tips on How To Re-use Your Wedding Flowers

5 Tips on How To Re-use Your Wedding Flowers 150 150 La Fete Weddings

Let’s face it, planning a wedding is expensive… By the time all of your rentals, entertainment, food/alcohol & everything else adds up, the last thing most clients want to spend a fortune on is flowers! So we have come up with a few budget-friendly ideas that help you to get a little bit more BANG for your buck by learning how to re-use your wedding flowers! We try to do this at all of our weddings no matter how high end the event is! The reality is- every space can always use a few extra finishing touches!

Now, I should begin by saying that there is NOTHING worse than seeing large amounts of flowers being moved here and there by a bunch of hardworking vendors -This can send the wrong message to your guests… So please make sure that when you use these tips they can be done out of the view of the guests.

Tip #1) Re-use your large ceremony flowers!!! This is great for events where the cocktail hour is far away from the ceremony & reception location. The guests will be enjoying cocktail hour and will NEVER know that you have re-used those stunning flowers that were only appreciated for 30 minutes during your ceremony! Here is one example showing how we repurposed these large arrangements at the entry of the reception tent.

Heres another example from my own wedding. We re-used the tall ceremony floral pieces on the head table, then moved the shorter ones to the entry of the reception space. The arrangements that were at the back of the ceremony aisle moved to flank each side of the stage!

Tip #2) Once you are done with the ceremony & all of your photos, we always walk around and collect your bridesmaids bouquets during cocktail hour. Mostly because balancing a cocktail while eating hors d’oeuvres and trying have a conversation is practically impossible while holding your bouquet! We then use these to decorate the reception  bar or anywhere else that seems to need a little pop of color!

Tip #3) The cocktail hour arrangements are typically the perfect size for any small end table or coffee table, but once your guests move down to the reception they are simply forgotten about! Since we always try to enjoy flowers for as long as we can, we like to re-purpose the cocktail hour centerpieces into the lounge groupings!

Tip #4) A large majority of our clients are choosing to host wedding events throughout the weekend. If you are considering hosting a Sunday Brunch try to re-use your wedding flowers as your brunch centerpieces. Mindy Rice designed the stunning centerpieces for this wedding and we knew we could not let her gorgeous flowers be wasted! By switching up the location, the  linens and the chairs the flowers take on a whole different design yet still look absolutely stunning the next day!

Tip #5) Donate!!! This is something to discuss with your florist before the wedding day. Lots of local florists will happily donate your wedding flowers to Hospice, nursing homes, hospitals or even cemeteries.

If most of your wedding guests are local, talk to your florist about the containers she is using & ask if some of the flowers can be taken home by your guests at the end of the evening. If this is something you might like- then their is a chance your florist will design the flowers in paper mache pots that easily lift out of the florists containers for the guests to take home!

Beautiful Tent Design for your Wedding Reception

Beautiful Tent Design for your Wedding Reception 150 150 La Fete Weddings

This mind-blowingly gorgeous wedding reception took place last summer and we think it is one of the most beautiful tent designs we have ever worked with. Revelry Event Designers worked side by side with Town and Country Event Rentals to create this remarkable tent with fabric draping. Images by Lighting transformed the reception as soon as the sun went down with their spectacular lighting! The chandeliers were dressed in tons of greenery and the florals on each table were stunning! Jackson Durham hand glued each tiny lambs ear leaf onto the vases on the head table, which was incredibly unique and really made that table feel special! We chose 6 different table linens that all worked together in the same color palette. Some tables were long 16-foot feasting tables & others were beautiful wooden dining tables mixed in with round & square tables with linens. This created a beautiful atmosphere that set each table apart from the next, yet was still very pleasing to the eye. The magnificent cake was designed and decorated by Sweet & Saucy Shop and Roomforty provided the delicious catering. We are extremely thankful to Willa Kveta Photography for capturing these extraordinary images from this day! We hope you enjoy this gorgeous event and that it inspires you with a beautiful tent design for your wedding reception!

We are thrilled to share this wedding as inspiration for a beautiful tent design for your wedding reception and hope you enjoyed all the details!

Private Polo Estate Wedding part 1- Pink and Green Cocktail Hour

Private Polo Estate Wedding part 1- Pink and Green Cocktail Hour 150 150 La Fete Weddings

We planned and designed this wedding on a private polo field in Carpinteria, CA and there are just too many incredible photos to put in one blog post. The bride and groom chose the elegant color palette of “Kate Spade- Pink and Green”  and wanted to keep the theme in line with the polo field. So we made sure this event was preppy, sophisticated, and small accents of polo mallets which added a finishing touch. We worked with Roomforty Catering who presented the guests with a “Tomato Bar” where the guests could help themselves to the stunning heirloom tomatoes accompanied by different assortments of ingredients. We also had a fromage station where an expert perfectly paired together the right combination of cheeses and fruits for each guest. With a large bar centrally located in this pink and green cocktail hour, the guests were able to  savor their favorite summer cocktails and enjoy the breathtaking ocean views. A special thank you goes to Steve Wrubel and Willa Kveta for capturing these beautiful images! We will be posting more of this beautiful wedding next week~

Heartstone Ranch Wedding

Heartstone Ranch Wedding 150 150 La Fete Weddings

It does not get much better than a Heartstone Ranch wedding, especially when your bride and groom are absolutely adorable! I had the pleasure of helping Brittany and Ryan plan their big day and the wedding turned out so gorgeous. Brittany took on a lot of the DIY work and in the end we created an event that was spectacularly detailed and absolutely perfect. Heartstone Ranch is located in Carpinteria California and is a spectacular place to have a wedding. The grounds are very well kept and the photo opportunities are endless. The bride wore this stunning Vera Wang gown which fit her perfectly, and her bridesmaids wore navy knee-length dresses which popped with the color of the bouquets. Nick from Priscila Valentina captured every moment of this day with such a great eye for detail. Brittany decided to do a Quilt station in lieu  of a guestbook, along with tiny jars of Heartstone Ranch honey and homemade jam for favors. To see more pictures from this wedding click here!
